Eric Raisina’s creative flair is rooted in his strong Malagasy family background and enhanced by European and Asian influences through his education abroad. His designs seamlessly blend different aspects of Asian, European and African identity and culture resulting in a unique universal look.
After completing his studies at the Duperré School, Eric attended the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris where he majored in European Fashion and Textile Design. Eric settled in Cambodia in the late 90’s where he was struck by the startling similarities with Madagascar and inspired to help revive the up market handicraft sector.
He has devoted himself to developing new Cambodian silk weaving and dyeing techniques. His designs are woven and bound together with new cultural threads : the raffia from Madagascar, one of Eric’s signature products, is regarded as the
“African Lace” and his famous “silk fur” has become a much sought after fabric in Parisian fashion houses.
Eric Raisina’s small polished collection for women and men featuring silk and diverse unique pieces are available at his villa boutique workshop. His creations are also sold at Phnom Penh, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Paris…
